ICTC USA Goes Solar
At ICTC (www.ICTCUSA.com) we are committed to our community. We strive to develop our people, client relationships and connection to the environments in which we provide our goods and services. Toward that end, we recently explored adding solar panels to our flagship production facility in Florida. Our goal was to reduce both our operating costs and carbon footprint. We selected a seasoned commercial solar developer in Q Solar (www.QSolar.com) to help us understand the key aspects associated with “Going Solar”. We dealt with the two founders at Q Solar who remained personally engaged throughout the entire process. From the first 30-minute call through the final authorization to turn the system on, we were able to work collaboratively with Q Solar to develop a bespoke solution that addressed our specific energy needs.
The decision to move forward with the solar solution designed for ICTC rested largely on our commitment to the company’s financial health and the environment. We elected to install a roof-mounted system which will offset almost 100% of our energy needs at that facility. The material investment was offset by a host of incentives which Q Solar helped us identify and obtain. Our ROI is under three (3) years after which our energy operating costs become de minimis. There is virtually no maintenance, and the system is fully guaranteed for twenty-five (25) years. The installation was seamless and did not adversely affect our daily operations. Going solar has been nothing short of a win-win.
